Guided Fly Fishing Rates With Deano
I spend a lot of time, money and energy fly fishing myself.
When I travel overseas to fish, I book good guides and good experiences because I know the difference that local knowledge, preparation and attention to detail can make.
That’s exactly how I approach guiding.
My aim isn’t to simply take you fishing.
It’s to give you the best possible experience with the time we’ve got.
That means finding the best water available, adapting to the conditions, helping you spot and approach fish and making the whole day something you’ll remember long after you’ve gone home.
After all, long after you’ve forgotten the price, you’ll remember the fish you caught!
Current guiding rates
Single/Multiple Day Trips
Full-day guided fly fishing:
$1250 + GST*
Additional angler:
$350 + GST per person
The full-day rate includes:
- Guiding
- Transport
- Fishing equipment if required
- Lunch
- Local knowledge
- Trip planning
*GST is New Zealand’s Goods and Services Tax and is currently 15%

Want to really get off the beaten track?
I can arrange helicopter access to some of New Zealand’s most remote rivers, lakes and backcountry fishing spots. It’s a pretty special way to see the country and can open up some incredible fishing that would otherwise be well out of reach.
